Lone Star Commodities

Lone Star Commodities was founded in 1996 by Gary Cobb & Nixie Guin. They began trading only a few commodities initially, and in the years to come, they would quickly grow their customer base, acquiring storage facilities in the Lubbock, Texas area. At this time, the business would expand to include the purchase and sales of additional commodities including cottonseed hulls, burrs, motes, and meal.

This expansion was followed by the addition of products like DDG, soybeans, peanuts, and sunflower seeds.  As of 2016, Lone Star Commodities now employs 10 people with a combined 80 years of industry experience. The added personnel, combined with 6 new storage and loading facilities, has allowed LSC to trade and service customers all over the nation, starting with origination, then handling, storing and marketing feed products throughout the Southwest United States.

Lone Star Commodities now serves customers through their office locations in Lubbock, Plainview, Robstown and Anton, Texas, as well as Eldorado, Oklahoma, and various other locations.
